01 / Before you touch a knob
Drop it on.
Do nothing.
Already finished.
Leave every macro where it is and the vocal already comes back richer, heavier, warmer, brighter, and more controlled. The core of the chain is always working, even when the creative knobs are off.
01
Warmth
Scheps 73 preamp color and gentle saturation, the weight of real analog front ends.
02
Weight
Parallel compression under the dry vocal for density without squashing it.
03
Shine
CLA Vocals top-end polish, the finished sheen of a mixed record.
04
Control
De-essing and multiband control already in place, so harsh esses and boomy notes are handled.
Load
Drop the chain on your lead vocal in any DAW that runs Waves.
Set two
Low Cut for the voice, Glue for how tight you want it.
Add space
Air, Reverb, Delay, Slap, FX, Widener, to taste.
02 / 8 macros
Eight knobs.
Every decision that matters.
Each macro moves several plugins at once, set to ranges I've already tuned, so every position on every knob sounds intentional.
LOW CUT
Sets where the low end of the vocal is cleaned up. Clears rumble and mud so the voice sits on top of the beat instead of inside it.
GLUE
Controls the amount of compression and gain reduction. Turn it down for a looser, more natural vocal; up for a tight, upfront, modern one.
AIR
A shelf working above 12 kHz. Not obvious brightness, the sense of air and expense on top of the voice, without the harshness of a mid-high boost.
REVERB
Two reverbs working together for color, space, and stereo width. Lush and big without washing out the words.
DELAY
Sets the level of the delay. Inside the parallel split you can change everything: quarter, half, dotted, triplet, feedback, ping-pong.
SLAP
A tasteful slap delay with some reverb in its path. Makes the vocal feel bigger and more present, and helps the stereo field.
FX
The signature knob: a parallel layer an octave above the vocal, with distortion, doubling, and reverb. Adds harmonics, color, and size on the sides.
WIDENER
A doubler that controls how much information lives on the sides, so you can widen the perceived size of the vocal as much as you want.
03 / Inside the chain
Not a preset.
A system.
Most vocal presets are effects stacked in a line. This chain has a serial core for tone and control, and a parallel split where space, width, and character run alongside the dry vocal instead of on top of it. That's the difference between a processed vocal and a produced one.

Side information
Every plugin is fully open inside StudioVerse. Change delay to quarter, dotted, or triplet, switch to ping-pong, adjust feedback, retune anything. Need exact delay times for your tempo? The free delay calculator has every value.
04 / Who it's for
Beginner to pro.
Same result, faster.
01
Recording yourself at home
Singer-songwriters and artists who want a finished vocal without learning fifteen plugins first. Set two knobs, add space, done.
02
Producing your own records
Producers mixing and mastering their own music who want a release-grade vocal in minutes, the same way every session.
03
Engineers who need speed
Pros turning around demos, works in progress, and quick mixes. Every plugin is open inside, so you start finished and go as deep as you like.
05 / What you need
100% Waves.
Check first.
Every plugin in the chain is made by Waves: industry-standard sound, stable, low latency, and it opens in any DAW that runs Waves. StudioVerse, the host, is free.
The chain needs all fifteen plugins to open as intended. Tick what you own. Sales are final, so I'd rather you know before you buy.

07 / The series
One chain.
Every setup.
Same process, same intended result, built natively for each toolset. Waves is first.

The other half of the record
Vocal finished.
Now the master.
The Ultimate Master Chain for Waves is my mastering chain in a StudioRack file: SSL bus compression, PuigTec EQs, L2 limiting, 8 macros. Same Waves setup, vocal to master.
The honest part
It won't fix a bad recording. Room echo, clipping, and a mic in the wrong place come through any chain. Record it clean and it does the rest.
It needs the plugins. If you don't own the fifteen Waves plugins, wait for the Ableton, Logic, or Plugin Alliance version built for your setup.
08 / Questions
Before you buy.
Which Waves plugins do I need?
+
StudioVerse (free), plus Vocal Rider, Renaissance Vox, Renaissance Equalizer (REQ6 and REQ2), C6 Multiband Compressor, DeEsser, Scheps 73, CLA Vocals, Renaissance Reverb, MetaFlanger, H-Delay, SoundShifter, OneKnob Driver, Doubler, and CLA-76.
Does it work in my DAW?
+
Yes, if your DAW runs Waves plugins: Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, and others. StudioVerse is free from Waves.
What if I'm missing a plugin?
+
The chain needs all of them to open as intended. Check the full list on this page before buying. If you're unsure, email me first.
Do I have to touch the macros?
+
No. Dropped on a lead vocal with the macros at their starting positions, you already get preamp warmth, parallel compression, shine, de-essing, and multiband control. Set Low Cut and Glue to the vocal, then add space with the rest.
Can I edit the plugins inside?
+
Yes. Every plugin is fully open inside StudioVerse. Pros can go as deep as they want; the macros just make the important moves fast.
Is it only for one genre?
+
No. It's built for modern pop, rap, R&B, and dance vocals, and the macros take it from dry and intimate to big and wide.
Will there be versions for other plugins?
+
Yes. Ableton, Logic, and Plugin Alliance versions are next, built to the same process and result.
Refund policy?
+
All sales final. Due to the nature of digital products, once access has been delivered we can't issue refunds. Check the plugin list and email me before buying if you have any questions about fit.
Do I get future updates?
+
Yes. Every refinement ships to you free. One purchase, lifetime access.
